Bioinformatician (f/m/d)
The position is 50% shared between the two departments. The Department of Immunology studies immune mechanisms regulating metastatic disease, while the research focus on the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology with focus on the Cardiovascular System is on deciphering the immune-regulatory functions of lymphatic endothelial cells.
Your tasks:
- Develop and implement computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale biological datasets
- Integrate and interpret multi-omics data to support research objectives
- Maintain and optimize bioinformatic tools, databases and workflows
- Collaborate with researchers to design experiments and analyze results
- Develop custom scripts and algorithms for data processing and visualization
Your skills:
- PhD in biomedicine, bioinformatics, computational biology or a related discipline
- Profound experience with bioinformatic tools for scRNAseq, NGS, spatial transcriptomics
- Knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods applied to biological data
- Experience working with multiomics data integration is a plus
- Excellent organizatorial skills, strong commitment, motivation and ability to work in a dynamic team
